Vasco & The Explorers Alvarino

A lovely fresh wine made with Alvarinho (you might know it as Spain's Albarino). Citrussy aromas, met with ripe peach, salty sea air characters which are hallmarks of a good Albarino. This is a much weightier style than Spain's version, richer and rounder, yet finishing crisp and lively. Fantastic with rich roast leg of pork.

Between 1995 and 2005, he lived and worked in the Cape, witnessing the renaissance of the post apartheid wine industry. Throughout this time, he established a healthy rapport with the great and the good of the local wine scene, affording him access to their distinguished cellars. Along the way he started to discover small parcels of wine and engaged some of the finest Cape winemakers in project work with him. You might say he became a “Cape Crusader”.
