Founded in 1996 by Oliver Hughes & Liam Lahart, the Porterhouse Brew Co. are renowned for being pioneers of craft beer in Ireland. The two cousins Liam & Oliver were ahead of their time in opening Ireland's first brew pub in the heart of Dublin City, Temple Bar. Since then 22 years on with a group of successful bars in Dublin, London & New York the Porterhouse Brew Co. is now producing from a state of the art brewery located on the outskirts of Dublin City in Dublin 11. The expansion to the 30,000 Hectolitre brewing facility in 2017 not only helps service the Porterhouse bars but provides quality beer outside of the bars to consumers throughout Ireland , while exporting to over 20 markets globally. The Porterhouse Brew Co. is proud to be a fully run independent Irish craft brewery with a focus on consistency, quality and innovation.
Porterhouse Brewing Co. are proud to be a founding member of the Independent Craft Brewers of Ireland. The Independent Craft Brewers of Ireland is an association which supports craft breweries and lobbies on craft brewing issues. Peter Mosley is the current chairperson of the association and has been the head brewer at the Porterhouse Brewing Co. since we were first founded in our small brew pub in temple bar in 1996. Now at our new 120-barrel brewing facility just off the Ballyboggan road in Dublin 11 we are proud to be still 100% an independently owned and run company.
