Straffe Hendrik Xmas Blend is De Halve Maan's special festive quadrupel from Bruges. The brewmaster blends selected barrel-aged Quadrupel with young Quadrupel: tannins from the wood meet rich dark malt, dried fruit and warming spice.

Barrels include new American and French oak plus former whisky, rum, Bordeaux and calvados casks, so aromas vary by lot. Bottle-conditioned, so the flavour keeps evolving. Intense dark brown, 11%, and made only from time to time — a 750ml centrepiece for Christmas dinner or a special gift.

Straffe Hendrik is the specialty brand of De Halve Maan, the historic family brewery in the heart of Bruges. The Xmas Blend is only made from time to time and is not part of the standard range — a festive limited for the season.
