Mascaron Sauternes 50cl
This sweet wine reveals aromas of quince, dried figs, apricots. These carry through onto the palate, where they are joined by honey and gingerbread. However, this sweetness is undercut by a tangy feel and flavours of orange marmalade. It's beautifully well-balanced, with a long finish. Enjoy it chilled, at 10-12, in small glasses. Once open, this wine will keep for several days, due to its sweetness.
Exquisite with Crème brulee, apricot tart, frangipane tarts, lemon or orange cake. Equally good with blue cheese, like Cashel Blue.
