Kopke 10 Year Old Tawny Port Decanter – A Collector’s Gift from Porto’s Oldest Port House
Founded in 1638, Kopke is the oldest Port house in Porto, and its 10 Year Old Tawny is one of its most decorated wines. This edition comes in a striking hand-painted decanter with a hand-applied wax capsule, presented in a black gift box – a centrepiece for the Christmas table and a gift that looks as good as it tastes.
- Tasting notes: Golden with an amber rim. Elegant aromas of spice and dried fruit with hints of wood and honey; smooth and round, with intense dried-fruit flavours, toasted almond and caramel, and an excellent finish.
- How it’s made: A blend of wines from different harvests aged in oak casks, with an average age of 10 years. Grapes include Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca and Tinta Roriz.
- Serve: Slightly chilled at 12–14°C with chocolate or nutty desserts, cheese, or on its own after dinner.
- Awards: Gold, Decanter World Wine Awards 2018 (95 points).
