Galway Bay Oíche Nollag Winter Ale 6.5% - 440ml Can

Galway Bay Oíche Nollag is the Galway brewery's limited Christmas release: a panettone-inspired winter dark ale brewed in collaboration with Two Stacks Irish Whiskey from Newry.

Galway Bay soaked dried fruits you'd normally find in an Italian panettone, namely raisins, sultanas and orange peel, in a cask-strength Two Stacks blend that had previously rested in cherry brandy barrels, then added them to a base of seven Irish and British malts. The result is a rich, dark ale that stays complex without being heavy, with festive dried fruit, warming whiskey character and a gently spiced finish.

At 6.5% it's an indulgent but very drinkable seasonal, made for a cold December evening by the fire or alongside Christmas cake and cheese. It's only around for the season, so grab a few cans while it lasts.
