Zenato Valpolicella Superiore
This Valpolicella is a step up from most of the rest on the market. It has a fantastic harmony of just-ripe flavours of vibrant red cherry and prune, with hints of almond and savoury notes. On the palate it’s medium-bodied, with moderate, smooth tannin. It’s a terrific go-to style of wine which would suit most palates and occasions.
Made by the Zenato family. The blend is 85% Corvina Veronese, 10% Rondinella, and 5% Corvinone.
Food match: a really excellent all-rounder which would suit a range of dishes from pizza to steak.
