Description

Tasting Note:  Intense boquet showing lots of maturity: tobacco, baked plums, savoury, leather, earthy.  Plenty of ripe fruit, well-balanced by fine tannins which have softened a little, and well-proportioned alcohol.  Delightful and very keenly priced for Cru Bourgeois.  

Food Match: Perfect for red meat dishes, especially roast meats.   

Grapes: 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot, 10% Petit Verdot.

At the head of the 30ha of this estate since 1998, Mich le Roux is a winemaker passionate about oenology and horses.  Average age of vines is 28 years, planted on gravelly soil.  Ageing: 25% new oak, for 12 months.
