The 2012 Pomerol Cask is a limited edition rare 54.2% ABV Cask Strength Single Malt Irish Whiskey, distilled in 2012, matured for over 6 years in Oloroso Sherry and Bourbon casks, then recasked in April 2018 and matured for a further 4 years in 4 Pomerol casks.
Extremely rare French Oak casks from the smallest wine region in Bordeaux known for velvety rich Merlot & Cabernet Franc grape varieties.
The Pomerol cask imparts intense but refined aromas of ripe wild dark berries which complement the signature fruity & floral character of Bushmills malt.
Rose gold in colour, with berry and toasted wood on the nose and notes of ginger, crisp green apple and lemon zest to taste, developing into a long, dry citrus finish.
