TASTING NOTES: This is a rich mouth-filling red from the heel of Italy. Unravel flavours of mocha, roast nuts, stewed plums and lusicous blackberries, dried fig, with a hint of aniseed, and wild woody herbs. Warm fruit-filled finish. Made from Negroamaro, Lambrusco & Merlot.
FOOD MATCH: This would pair very well with hearty slow-cooked vegetables or roasted meats. It would also suit dishes with a bit of heat (chili, arrabiata), and dishes with sweetness (hoi-sin, fruit sauces).
