Eight Degrees Howling Gale Irish Pale Ale 4.5% - 440ml Can
Eight Degrees Howling Gale is where it all started: the first beer the Mitchelstown brewery ever brewed, back in 2011, and still its best-seller. It's a crisp, golden Irish pale ale with a bright grapefruit and pine aroma from Cascade and Simcoe hops, a soft biscuit-malt middle and a clean, gentle bitter finish. Easy to drink, full of flavour, and a long-time favourite with Molloys customers.
TASTING NOTES: Pale gold with a white head. Pink grapefruit and pine needles on the nose and palate, medium body with a little biscuity malt sweetness, then a smooth, crisp finish with a light snap of bitterness.
FOOD PAIRING: Fish and chips, smoked salmon, anything off the barbecue, or spicy food, where the touch of malt sweetness tames the chilli. Also excellent with washed-rind Irish cheeses like Durrus, Milleens or Gubbeen.
