Dona Paula Beyond Shadows Malbec

Doña Paula Beyond Shadows Malbec is an expressive, easy-drinking Argentinian red from one of Mendoza’s best-known producers, and a fresh award winner at the Irish Wine Show Star Awards. Made from 100% Malbec grown on Doña Paula’s high-altitude, regeneratively farmed vineyards in Luján de Cuyo, it pays tribute to the generations of winemakers behind the region, a story told by its striking skull illusion label.

Deep and youthful in the glass, it opens with lifted aromas of ripe blackberry, plum and a touch of violet. The palate is smooth and generous, with juicy dark fruit and supple tannins, while six months in medium-toast French oak adds gentle spice and warmth without masking the fruit. Fresh acidity keeps it lively through to a rounded, satisfying finish.
