Intense purple hue of the Carinena grape gives way to a solid wine; quite firm, with vibrant redcurrants, cherries and plums, and hints of wild woody herbs. If you like Shiraz, Malbec, or full-bodied reds, this grape variety is well worth a try.
Food match: A rib-eye steak would be well-paired with this.
The region of Carinena produces great quality wines at surprisingly good prices. Fabula means 'fable,' and each label in the range carries an image relating to a fable.... " And for being so honest and sincere, she was given the name of her land: Cariñena" which explains that the local grape is named after the region. (or is it the other way around?)
